Cat Farrell

Cat first discovered yoga in 2001 while living in New York City where she immediately immersed herself in as many different lineages of yoga as possible.  Ashtanga, Anusara and Jivamukti were the traditions she connected to most, and it wasn’t long before Cat completed her first teacher training program at Atmananda Yoga in SoHo in 2004.  Since then, Cat has studied with many advanced teachers including Sharon Gannon, David Life, Dana Trixie Flynn, Alison Cramer, Dharma Mittra, Seane Corn and others in order to expand her knowledge and deepen her commitment to the practice.

Drawing from over a decade of experience teaching, mentoring, leading workshops and guest lecturing for numerous teacher trainings, Cat brings a joyful balance of knowledge, energy, rhythm and mindfulness to each and every class.  Set to the backdrop of a playful and invigorating playlist, Cat’s style of sequencing encourages students to focus on breath and alignment while safely and gradually exploring their personal boundaries within every pose.   Cat is also a NY State licensed and board certified creative arts therapist and filters her teachings through a therapeutic and trauma-informed lens in order to support healing and growth in all students.
